The doctors thought I had torn my ACL, but after doing an MRI they saw a fracture in my shin. I was working as a carpenter at the time and had to take three months off from job.

“Four days after breaking my leg was my first time entering a gym, and the rest is history,” he said. “I didn’t return to soccer after recovering because I developed a passion for the gym. This allowed me to gain great self-confidence. Next month, on February 24, I will celebrate my three years in the gymnasium. It’s great to find your passion and do something you love.

“Also, I was 3.5 years in carpentry and six months off to get my full trade certificate to become a skilled carpenter in Australia, and I just threw in the towel,” he added. . “I realized that money isn’t everything. The mental health aspect is honestly #1 for me because money can’t make you happy.

O’Reilly continued, “A month later I got a job at a gymnasium and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. My mental health was my top priority and I was so happy in the environment I worked in. I couldn’t be more grateful for my workplace at the gym. I am working to become a personal trainer in Australia.

“I’m happy and content where I am now, but I still find myself as a person,” he added. “You don’t want to stay comfortable and complacent and you always have to be open to change.”

The digital age

O’Reilly talked about being a content creator, TikTok influencer, performer, and athlete in the digital age. “You have to keep up with the times and trends. You should always have your equipment up to date,” he said.

He revealed he had recently joined the Magic Men Australia family of performers. “Yesterday was my first shift with them,” he said. “I’m grateful for the life I live and all the connections.”

He had good words about fellow content creators and performers Alex Mendoza and Charlie Welham. “Alex and Charlie are my best friends,” he said. “I am eternally grateful to them. I’ve integrated them both on TikTok, and now that we recently sat down on our “dream table” a few days ago, we talked about how far we’ve come. Now they’ve both passed me on TikTok. We have all grown together and edified each other.

If he had to do a track event, O’Reilly shared that he won the 800 meters, 1,500 meters and would do the long jump, triple jump and high jump. “I used to do all the athletics events and I loved athletics,” he said.

Of his definition of success, O’Reilly remarked, “Success is living without financial stress and giving back to my parents as well, especially my mother. I am the son of a great mother, I love her so much. I thank my parents for their support through everything. Life is short and I want to enjoy the experiences life has to offer.
