Gaurav-Ritu Taneja and Aashna Hegde become the first Indian content designers to debut on the catwalks at New York Fashion Week

Bombay (Maharashtra) [India]Sept. 9 (ANI/NewsSee): Announcing a massive coup for the local content creator community, famed Indian seamstress, Archana Kochhar has enlisted top social media influencers of Indian descent as stars for her fashion outing at New York Fashion Week.
Delhi-based husband-wife duo Gaurav Taneja and Ritu Rathee Taneja of Flying Beast fame will be joined by Mumbai-based lifestyle influencer Aashna Hedge to walk the ramp at New Fashion Week. York, paving the way for increased representation of Indian influencer presenters to global platforms.
This creative confluence will not only mark the debut of these Indian digital influencers at International Fashion Weeks, but will also mark the first incorporation of Indian social media influencers on the runway in New York Fashion Week history.
Other American social media influencers stopping by New York Fashion Week include Mckenzi Brooke, TikTok’s favorite “it” girl, and teenage actor-musician sensation Gavin Magnus, who will walk for one of the world’s youngest self-made multi-millionaire and children’s reality TV star Isabelle Barret.
Kochhar’s New York Fashion Week showcase will be held in association with The SOCIETY on September 11, 2022, at the Hall Of Mirrors.

Kochhar, who roped up movie actress Sunny Leone and acid attack survivor Reshma Qureshi for her first-ever New York Fashion Week presentation, is the only fashion designer to have been handpicked in India to support the Make In India campaign launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi in 2014 during these two famous fashion weeks this year.

Kochhar will present its “Jharokha” collection which will highlight the importance of sustainability in fashion. Marriage between traditionally hand-woven fabrics and inimitable western silhouettes, the showcase is adorned with an explosion of colors and abstract patterns. The collection will mainly focus on handmade, locally grown and low carbon footprint textiles selected by women weavers from the interior of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
