My character in ‘Escaype Live’ is that of a content moderator who allows you to see the world of Escaype through him and his ambitions and motivations, says Siddharth

Mumbai: Accomplished actor Siddharth has participated in many projects. So far, he has never tried the role of content moderator, which by the way is his next performance in the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series – “Escaype Live”. In his own words, Siddharth also shares details about his on-screen persona and his own opinions on social media.

Siddharth shares, “I play a content moderator in Escaype Live. He is a character who allows us to see the world of Escaype through him, his ambitions and his motivations. When it comes to social media in today’s world, it’s important to strike a balance in their exposure. Excess of anything is bad. And right now, people need to have more real interactions versus virtual gratification. The Internet is an imaginary place that reflects your real life. An individual should be as careful as possible.

Escaype Live is a fictional story, written by Jaya Mishra and Siddharth Kumar Tewary, which will probably feel very true and real. The story features a group of content creators, with different paths but one goal: to produce viral content to emerge victorious from a life-changing competition heralded by the country’s hottest new app called Escaype Live. Produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s One Life Studios, the nine-episode series places a strong emphasis on the human tendency to be competitive and the drive to succeed. The extremely talented cast includes Jaaved Jaaferi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur, Waluscha D’Souza, Ritvik Sahore, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Jagjeet Sandhu, Rohit Chandel, and child actor Aadyaa Sharma, among others.

The essence of the series explores the lengths that content creators and tech giants are willing to go to achieve their aspirations. Set in different cities across India, the series used different dialogue writers for each city to add regional authenticity. The Jaisalmer-based Dance Rani story saw its dialogues penned by Vinod Sharma while Amcha’s lines were penned by Amol Surve. Similarly, the Banaras-based characters of Meenakumari and Sunaina’s dialogues were written by Ranveer Pratap Singh while the Darkie and Festish Girl’s dialogues were written by Jaya Mishra and Siddharth Kumar Tewary.
