CHALFONT ST PETER, ENGLAND–(BUSINESS WIRE)–RWS, a unique global provider of technology-based language, content and intellectual property services, today announces the appointment of four chief executives to lead its language and content technology product lines, responsible for revenue and profits, operations, research and development, alongside delivery.
The general managers will report to Thomas Labarthe, president of Language and Content Technology, who will continue to oversee the division.

Mihai Vlad, as Managing Director of Language Weaver, will lead the development of RWS’ machine translation and linguistic AI technologies. Language Weaver, used by some of the world’s largest companies, combines cutting-edge neural machine translation technology with human linguistic expertise, enabling organizations to communicate without language barriers. Language Weaver is able to handle over 3,000 language combinations.
Mark Lawyer, as Managing Director of Trados, will be responsible for the Trados product family, which includes Trados Enterprise, Trados Live and Trados Studio. Trados helps clients unlock global understanding by giving them access to the industry’s only intelligent system capable of managing the entire end-to-end translation supply chain, ensuring that standards and levels of highest efficiencies are always maintained.
As Managing Director of Tridion and Fonto, Alex Abey will lead RWS’ content management portfolio. These technologies enable customers to create, manage, translate and deliver any type of content on any device, providing customers with an exceptional digital experience in their own language.
Tim Russell-Jones will direct Contenta [Publishing Suite] as general manager. The technology – specifically designed for the government, aerospace and defense sectors – offers security-conscious organizations the ability to create, manage and publish highly technical documents with precision and speed.
