TikTok has an error that blurts out that “this content is age restricted” even though the user is an adult who is already old enough to do just about anything in the dirty world of the internet.

China-based video-sharing app TikTok continued its unprecedented rise with massive popularity.
All thanks to the trending and viral video content that TikTok users are posting these days. Some of them even make it to the big names in social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and also get massive number of views.
That said, there’s no doubt that the emerging platform, TikTok, is no longer an easy app for internet users to ignore, according to a report by ScreenRant.
So some, if not most, couldn’t help but join the latest bandwagon. In fact, the outlet noted in its report that it has been a mainstay of top download apps on Apple’s App Store.
TikTok error “This content is age restricted”
However, TikTok is not all about viral videos and endless scrolling, it also comes with its fair share of errors and bugs.
One of the latest errors on the video sharing platform is quite annoying for most users as it completely prevents them from watching a video.
Instead of autoplaying the video, a message prompt will then block it saying “this content is age restricted”, preventing the user from watching it even if they are no longer underage.

On Thursday evening, President Donald Trump signed an executive order prohibiting any dealings between TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, and US citizens on national security grounds.
Experiencing such an issue might be infuriating for some as it prevents them from watching videos on the platform, leaving them with a message that the content is not available due to age restrictions.

How To Fix TikTok “This Content Is An Age Limit Error”
Nevertheless, there is still a way to get rid of the annoying message that imposes age restrictions even on adult TikTok users, according to a recent report by Game Revolution.
The solution to the annoying age restriction pop-up is to disable restricted mode on your account. Here’s how:
- Select the Profile button in the lower right corner of the TikTok app.
- Next, tap the three-line menu in the top right.
- After which, click on “Settings and privacy”.
- From there, select “Digital Wellbeing”.
- Next, disable Restricted Mode if it has been enabled.
